Who you are: We seek an experienced Critical Care Technician to work our swing shift from Wednesday to Saturday.
In this role, you will support our veterinarians, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort for our clients' cherished pets. You are dedicated to enhancing lives through superior pet care and thrive in a dynamic environment that fosters your development and helps you reach your full potential. Most importantly, you have a passion for working with animals and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care for critical cases, continuously assessing the patient.
- Calculate CRIs and provide advanced hospitalization care.
- Conduct in-house laboratory tests.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IV catheter placement.
- Provide accurate and detailed patient rounds.
- Ensure safe restraint for anxious and frightened patients.
- Obtain TPRs, maintain medical records, and know when to alert the veterinarian.
- Advocate for both the patient and the client.
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the veterinary field.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and clients, demonstrating tact, patience, and professionalism.
- An active CA state RVT license is preferred but not mandatory.
- 4/10 schedule Wednesday to Saturday, Swing Shift from 12 PM to 10 PM.
- A $3 hourly shift differential is offered for swing shifts.
- Pay range: RVT $30 - $40 /hr, VA $26 - $34/hr.
