Who You Are: We seek an experienced Critical Care Technician to work our swing shift, Wednesday to Saturday.
You will serve as the essential support to our veterinarians, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort for our clients' cherished pets. Your dedication and passion for enhancing lives through superior pet care are paramount. You thrive in a fast-paced environment that fosters your growth and supports your development, helping you reach your full potential. Most importantly, you enjoy working with animals and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for critical cases, continuously assessing the patient.
- Calculate CRIs and deliver advanced hospitalization care.
- Conduct in-house laboratory tests.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IV catheter placement.
- Conduct thorough and accurate patient rounds.
- Ensure safe restraint for anxious and frightened patients.
- Obtain vital signs, maintain medical records, and recognize when to alert the veterinarian.
- Advocate for both the patient and the client.
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the veterinary field.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and clients, demonstrating tact, patience, and professionalism.
- An active California state RVT license is preferred but not mandatory.
- 4/10 schedule, Wednesday to Saturday, Swing Shift 12 PM - 10 PM.
- A $3 hourly shift differential is offered for swing shifts.
- Pay range: RVT $30 - $40/hr, VA $26 - $34/hr.
