Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Overview of the Position

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at DP Solutions. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients. This role involves resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking problems.

 

Responsibilities
  • Providing remote support assistance: You will provide technical assistance and remediation to our customers via phone, email, or remote desktop connection.
  • IT Support: You will provide IT support services to our clients, including troubleshooting technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems.
  • Network Level Support: You will provide technical services and support at the network level, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Remote Access Solution Implementation and Support: You will implement and support remote access solutions, including VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
  • Customer Communication: You will communicate with customers to keep them informed of ticket progress and notify them of impending changes.
  • System Documentation: You will maintain system documentation to ensure accuracy and provide maintenance and review in ConnectWise and IT Glue.

 

Requirements

 

  • 5 Years of Technical Troubleshooting Experience: You must have 5 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, ideally as a Help Desk Service Engineer or System Administrator supporting LAN/WAN.
  • IT Certifications: While not required, having professional IT certifications such as MCP, MCSA, MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, ConnectWise CCPA, LabTech LTCP, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP is desirable.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You must possess strong interpersonal skills, including telephony skills, communication skills, teamwork, active listening, and customer care.
  • Ability to Diagnose Technical Issues: You must be able to diagnose technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Adaptability: You must be able to adapt to changing situations quickly.
