Job Summary:

Mitsubishi Electric US is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our service operations, you will be responsible for supervising, maintaining, and coordinating the service department. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and schedule service personnel to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Oversee all service maintenance, repairs, and chargeable orders to ensure compliance with Mitsubishi Electric US standards.
  • Approve all purchase orders issued to assigned technicians to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Develop and implement a weekly maintenance schedule that supports Mitsubishi Electric US maintenance standards or contract-specified maintenance hours.
  • Compile and analyze supervisor surveys to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Approve time tickets prior to payroll or recording functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate maintenance standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve complaints and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Resolve technical problems and provide technical support to service personnel.
  • Perform inspections of elevators and equipment as required to ensure compliance with Mitsubishi Electric US standards.
  • Survey prospective service accounts to provide information for sales staff to bid on maintenance and repair projects.
  • Support sales staff in pursuit of sales goals by providing open order ideas and material and labor costs for open orders and billable repairs.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations and manage field operations to meet business plan targets.
  • Manage field operations to meet quality and reliability targets.
  • Attend all mandatory quarterly and monthly maintenance meetings with customers to ensure compliance with Mitsubishi Electric US standards.
  • Provide sales staff with open order ideas and monitor and review new construction turnover projects for quality and completion.
  • Recapture units lost on maintenance and deliver small parts and equipment to contract sites.
  • Assist in the maintenance of adequate service inventory and perform other job functions as necessary.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in the elevator business, field or office, beneficial.
  • 5 years' experience in customer relations or related experience in interpersonal relations or crisis management.
  • Bachelor's degree beneficial.
  • Elevator field experience beneficial.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $165,000/year. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits.
