Youth Development Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Program Coordinator Assistant to join our team at Bay Area Community Resources. As a key member of our Expanded Learning Program, you will play a vital role in designing and leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities for high school students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Coordinator in the day-to-day operation of the program, including supervision and safety of the program.
- Support the Program Coordinator in scheduling and participating in meetings with students, parents, teachers, and after-school providers.
- Develop and implement marketing materials and weekly program recaps for key community stakeholders.
- Document events and capture photos during program hours.
- Co-lead a student/teacher advisory for high schoolers on site.
- Teach and assist with workforce development opportunities, including an upcoming Drivers Education class after school.
- Organize and lead monthly field trips in the area.
- Visit local retail centers to solicit donations as needed.
- Potential opportunity to work additional hours during summer and school breaks.
- Create, plan, and facilitate engaging enrichment and physical activities for students.
- Promote a safe and positive emotional climate in the classroom and on the campus.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a K-12 setting.
- Availability to work Monday-Friday, 25 hours per week, afternoons until 6 pm.
- Commitment to social justice, youth leadership, and development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commitment to a full school year.
- Commitment to participate in professional development.
