Position Overview

The Lead Coordinator for Advanced Clinical Services is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily functions of the clinical team. This role involves interpreting, conveying, and executing organizational policies and procedures while assessing operational efficiency, quality of care, and adherence to regulations. The individual will serve as a bridge between departments, staying informed on relevant legislative matters, and may perform duties typical of an advanced clinical provider as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively interprets, communicates, and enforces policies and procedures to maintain uniformity and compliance among Advanced Clinical Providers.
  • Supervises quality assurance initiatives within the department.
  • Facilitates collaboration with associated departments to enhance service volume, quality, and revenue generation.
  • Provides educational resources and support to Advanced Clinical Providers.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of training curricula for Advanced Clinical Providers, ensuring alignment with professional, regulatory, and legislative standards.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Performs the responsibilities of an Advanced Clinical Provider, including managing complex and technical cases as required.
  • Undertakes additional duties as necessary. All listed responsibilities are considered essential functions of the role under applicable laws. Related duties not explicitly mentioned are also considered essential.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program with National Board Certification in the relevant specialty area is required.
  • Possession of a current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State is required, along with any specialized certifications as necessary.
  • Alternatively, a Master of Science degree is acceptable.
  • Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) by the New York State Department of Education is required, along with NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Alternatively, a Master's Degree in clinical nursing practice with a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and CNS certification in applicable specialty areas (Adult Health, Oncology, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry/Mental Health) from a recognized certification organization (ANCC, AACN, or ONCC) is required.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of technical experience along with 0-2 years of leadership or management experience is required.
