**Job Summary**
Northwell Health is seeking a skilled Patient Access Services Coordinator to assist in performing a variety of registration, insurance verification, and scheduling duties in support of inpatient and outpatient access to medical services.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assists in performing pre-registration and registration duties, obtaining necessary demographic and insurance information, and entering data into computer systems.
- Aids in verification of patient insurance coverage and other related data with third-party carriers for scheduled appointments/procedures.
- Collects money due from patients at the time of service and performs related billing, receivable, and financial functions.
- Documents authorization approvals and denials in computer systems.
**Requirements**
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
