Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze cutting-edge combustors and fuel/air mixing systems for various propulsion devices.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to explore new combustion methodologies and technologies.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster strong partnerships and drive research initiatives.
  • Contribute to research proposals aimed at advancing technology within the aerospace sector.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in combustor design and analysis, utilizing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and other analytical techniques.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in combustion science and propulsion technologies.
  • Strong foundation in fluid mechanics, combustion principles, and chemical kinetics.
  • Ability to tackle complex technical challenges through innovative problem-solving approaches.
  • Documented contributions to the field, including patents or published research.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of various combustor architectures and designs.
  • Experience with sustainable fuel technologies and low-carbon combustion systems.
  • Familiarity with system-level design for advanced propulsion applications.
Education Requirements:

A Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related field, with at least 7 years of post-degree experience in combustor design. A PhD in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience is preferred.
