Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Implementing commercial strategies for your clients on established daily routes.
  • Leveraging your communication skills (Listening, Speaking, and Writing).
  • Harnessing your competitive spirit daily.
  • Stocking, merchandising, and rotating all beverage sections and displays in assigned stores.

Routes will service Simpsonville (SC) and nearby regions.

Schedule: 5 consecutive days a week, including weekends; shifts start at 5 AM until route completion.

Potential interviews may occur at our branch in Piedmont, SC.

The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the POD Model within the One Tier Sales Strategy in a flexible, 24/7 operation. This role is particularly important due to the transition of Dollar General and some independent grocery stores from Small Store to Large Store channels. The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist will provide vacation coverage for the Bulk Account Merchandiser and Merchandiser, serve as the primary contact for late PM/early AM weekends to ensure proper route coverage, and act as a liaison among the customer, merchandiser, and driver for order refusals and inventory overload. The BAM Specialist may also execute weekend operational plans with minimal influence on strategic changes and will keep the DSM informed as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Filling, merchandising, and rotating products on display and shelves according to established procedures and special programs. Providing vacation coverage for the Bulk Account Merchandiser and POD Merchandiser.
  • Managing, selling, and executing in an assigned group of customers on daily, pre-set routes, generating sales orders based on the assigned delivery frequency for each customer to ensure operational success and contribute to the company's financial performance in terms of revenue, volume, and gross profit.
  • Executing applicable promotions and new product launches based on target lists, monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives, marketing promotions, Point-Of-Sale, and commercial plans to ensure excellence in RED (Right Execution Daily) scores for assigned customers.
  • Organizing and maintaining backroom inventory by stacking and arranging products by package and flavor, and managing the return of empty pallets and shells, as well as damaged and out-of-date products to the branch.
  • Creating and distributing point-of-sale materials on displays and shelves where permitted. Rotating products and merchandising Fastlane vendors; ensuring proper operation of vendor equipment.
  • Building business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-ups on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and discussions on upcoming activities.
  • Identifying and communicating any competitive issues or market activities that could impact the business (e.g., pricing, new packaging, changes in business strategy) and executing all job duties safely.
  • Being the first point of contact for late PM/early AM weekends to ensure proper route coverage and acting as a liaison between the customer, merchandiser, and driver for order refusals and inventory overload.
