Washington State University's Sports Medicine department is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join their team. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for providing psychological evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, referrals, crisis intervention, and promoting mental health for WSU student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and treat student-athletes with mental health concerns.
- Provide crisis intervention and supervise other behavioral health clinicians.
- Coordinate care with healthcare teams, including physicians, trainers, and dietitians.
- Facilitate access to additional healthcare resources on and off-campus.
- Provide guidance and harm reduction strategies to student-athletes.
- Serve as the primary mental health provider and chair the Athletic Department's Mental Health Team.
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (including pre-doctoral internship).
- Doctorate in clinical psychology.
- Licensed or license-eligible in Washington State within one year.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience counseling student-athletes.
- Counseling on healthy relationships, substance use, and life balance.
- Crisis intervention and working with a diverse student population.
- Broad working knowledge of NCAA, conference, university and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
