Join Our Team as an Assistant Store Manager

At Janie and Jack LLC, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to play a vital role in our retail environment. The Assistant Store Manager is a key player in driving business success and is recognized for their leadership abilities. You will be the go-to person for guidance, communication, and constructive feedback, helping the team to reach their objectives. Your passion for creating a customer-centric atmosphere will ensure an enjoyable shopping experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to formulate actionable plans that align with business goals and timelines.
  • Serve as a role model for the team, driving sales and fostering exceptional customer service by mentoring staff to enhance selling techniques and build authentic customer connections.
  • Design and execute visual merchandising strategies to boost sales while optimizing store layout and capacity.
  • Leverage available tools and resources to enrich the customer experience.
  • Adapt to changes and uncertainties, proposing innovative ideas to advance business growth.
  • Inspire and motivate the team to meet or exceed business targets through effective in-store and omni-channel selling strategies.
  • Foster a positive and productive workplace that promotes diversity, inclusivity, teamwork, creativity, and a passion for our brand.
  • Support the General Manager in building a strong team through networking, recruitment, and anticipating future staffing needs based on business objectives.
  • Maintain accountability for personal performance and ensure the same for others.
  • Demonstrate operational strength and resourcefulness.
  • Identify training needs, develop customized training plans, and implement various training methods to enhance team skills and performance in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in retail sales, with a preference for management experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of achieving sales and profit targets.
  • Ability to train and elevate the team's product knowledge and sales capabilities.
  • Experience in implementing merchandising strategies and adapting visual displays.
  • Exhibit authenticity, sincerity, and transparency in all interactions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak business periods.
  • Physical capability to bend, lift, carry, and move merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 40 pounds as necessary.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
