Position Overview:

Role Summary:
The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in promoting and selling our diverse range of products and services while adhering to company standards and expectations.

Compensation: $40,000 to $60,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, both in person and over the phone, utilizing standardized customer service techniques.
  • Listen attentively to customer concerns, inspect vehicles, and refer to service history to accurately identify service needs.
  • Recommend appropriate services based on expertise, clearly communicating any additional recommendations from technicians to customers.
  • Promote sales of services, parts, and accessories by demonstrating a solid understanding of products and their service requirements.
  • Provide customers with accurate quotes detailing costs and completion times for approved services, and keep them updated on service status.
  • Follow established procedures when processing customer transactions, including reviewing completed inspections and explaining warranties.
  • Conduct follow-up calls post-service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Track returns, core returns, and warranty parts for customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Automotive Service Consultant is expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and demonstrate behaviors consistent with Company Standards and Expectations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Professional appearance and ability to thrive in a process-driven environment.
  • Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a State Inspector License within 30 days of hire.
  • ASE Certified Service Consultant Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Availability to work a minimum of five days, including weekends.
