Position Overview:
We are currently looking for an Entry-Level Machining Engineer.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing design concepts, validating these concepts through process simulations, creating computer models, and producing drawings, specifications, and instructions.

Your contributions will be essential in ensuring that our components meet the standards set by ATI and our clients.

This position will report to the Manager of Technology.

Key Responsibilities:
Learn and implement design and manufacturing principles to support and complete project tasks related to product machining.

This includes estimating machining hours, managing new product introduction projects, addressing customer-initiated changes, and resolving process issues to maintain workflow.

Utilize CAD/CAM systems to create design concepts, sketches, layouts, models, assemblies, and NC programs.
Test and validate design concepts through calculations and process simulations.
Gather and analyze process data, evaluating simulation results to make informed engineering decisions.

Investigate issues related to manufactured items or processes, participate in trials, and suggest improvements in methods and tooling for enhanced quality and cost efficiency.

Create documentation and technical reports to effectively communicate proposed and/or implemented solutions.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of forging processes, heat treatment processes, machining operations, equipment functions, and capabilities.
Foster relationships to promote an environment of mutual trust, respect, and high ethical standards.
Travel to other business units to support manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:
B.S. in an Engineering-related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with CAD/CAM and/or FEM is advantageous.

Essential Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Analytical skills.
