Team Collaboration:
We are looking to recruit a Fixed Income Trading Specialist to join our esteemed Global Fixed Income Trading team. This role presents a remarkable opportunity to enhance our business by contributing to the evolution and enhancement of our trading technology platform while also engaging in the execution of trades across our comprehensive fixed income portfolio. The position will report directly to the Head of US High Yield Trading and will collaborate closely with senior bond traders, portfolio managers, analysts, and quantitative researchers.

This role can be based in a flexible location. The ideal candidate will work synergistically with investment professionals located in various global hubs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating a deep understanding of fixed income markets and the investment philosophies and strategies that drive our portfolios.
  • Executing trades and sourcing liquidity in alignment with our best execution standards and risk management protocols.
  • Playing an integral role in the investment process by collaborating with senior traders, portfolio managers, and analysts, and contributing to market discussions in regular strategy meetings.
  • Partnering with senior traders on initiatives aimed at enhancing trading efficiency and minimizing operational risks.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and disseminating market and security data to uncover actionable trade ideas and investment prospects.
  • Representing our firm in the marketplace, building new sell-side trading relationships while leveraging existing connections.

Candidate Profile:

The successful applicant is expected to possess the following qualifications:

  • A strong affinity for technology, with the capability to utilize tech solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency. Proficiency in programming, particularly in Python and SQL, is essential.
  • The ability to operate swiftly and accurately in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A robust work ethic and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a strong focus on risk management.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and experience working in a collaborative, results-driven team environment.
  • Proficient analytical skills, with the capacity to apply these skills practically.
  • A proactive self-starter with a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and innovative idea generation.
  • Strong academic credentials, including a Bachelor's degree.
