Position Overview

The Geotechnical Project Engineer II will play a crucial role in supporting the development of geotechnical reports through detailed analysis and recommendations. This position involves:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing construction materials testing (CMT) projects, ensuring daily report evaluations, addressing project-related issues, and providing training to field personnel.
  • Drafting both geotechnical and CMT proposals, managing project budgets, and preparing necessary change orders and invoices.
  • Assisting with or executing tasks under supervision, such as boring and test pit layouts, evaluating site accessibility, and preparing drilling packages while securing utility clearances.
  • Conducting research on local geological history and supervising field operations carried out by drilling and test pit teams.
  • Performing in-situ testing, classifying soil samples, and determining laboratory testing requirements.
  • Mentoring junior staff to foster their professional growth.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
  • While a professional license is not mandatory for this role, it is important for career advancement.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary if driving for ECS subsidiaries.
