Position Overview

Timmons Group is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Civil Project Engineer II or III within our Public Land Development Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design segments of projects utilizing relevant software, modeling techniques, and Civil 3D technology.
  • Conduct calculations using engineering principles and leverage technology to address challenges.
  • Compile specifications and materials through research and manufacturing catalogs to ensure proper material selection, installation, inspection, and payment processes for project-specific items.
  • Develop detailed designs and comprehensive plan sets.
  • Perform research and draft objective summary reports that contribute to project completion or inspection processes.
  • Assist in generating engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Carry out field observations, inspections, and data collection as directed by senior engineering personnel.
  • Facilitate communication with client representatives and internal design teams as guided by senior engineering staff.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Preferred candidates will possess two to ten years of experience in Land Development civil engineering, including expertise in residential neighborhood design as well as commercial and mixed-use projects.
  • EIT certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
