Position Summary

The IT Support Technician is the primary point of contact for technical assistance within the organization, providing both remote and on-site support for operating systems, software applications, and hardware components. Key responsibilities encompass managing the IT environment, overseeing device deployments, and handling the IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding processes. This role also necessitates thorough follow-up on support tickets, adherence to IT protocols and standard operating procedures, as well as the management of IT assets and the maintenance of up-to-date internal documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main technical contact, assisting company personnel by identifying, troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving operating system, software, and hardware issues both on-site and remotely.
  • Oversee the IT environment, including workstations, printers, software installations, inventory management, updates, and patches.
  • Monitor ticket requests and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Manage the deployment of Windows and MacOS devices using MDM solutions.
  • Take charge of the IT components of employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Enforce group IT guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure internal documentation is current and accurate.
  • Manage logistics related to IT equipment.
Qualifications Required
  • Degree in a relevant Information Technology field (2- or 4-year degree required).
  • 3-5 years of experience in an office desktop support environment or a similar fast-paced support role.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and MacOS.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and other Microsoft applications.
  • Strong customer service and support skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and manage tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in multitasking various duties and assignments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to initiate projects independently.
  • Quick-thinking with desktop knowledge to provide effective solutions to in-office users.
  • Adaptable to technologies beyond direct end-user support.
  • Capable of providing troubleshooting assistance to remote Systems Administrators.
  • Efficient communication with trades, building management, and external professional resources.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira Service Management).
  • Experience in provisioning devices using MDM.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and MacOS.
