Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and high-performing HR Operations Specialist with exceptional interpersonal skills. This role will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive support across all HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This position presents an exciting opportunity to significantly influence our organization's growth and success.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the HR Operations Specialist may include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening applications, collaborating with external recruiters, scheduling and conducting interviews, and performing reference checks.
  • Coordinating onboarding processes for new employees, including liaising with IT vendors for equipment, conducting new hire orientation, and managing onboarding documentation.
  • Serving as the primary contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolution as necessary.
  • Addressing employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality, fostering a positive workplace environment.
  • Assisting with mid-year and annual performance review cycles.
  • Organizing training sessions and workshops as required.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data.
  • Processing payroll, benefits enrollment, and all other HR-related transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Staying informed about federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Preparing internal communications regarding HR policies, programs, and events as needed.

Competencies & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Experience in a multi-state environment with a distributed workforce is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building rapport and trust at all organizational levels.
  • Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
