Role Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Administration: Oversee and manage the payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate wage disbursement. Collaborate with finance departments to address payroll discrepancies and uphold compliance with relevant tax and labor regulations.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process, which includes crafting job descriptions, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding of new employees. Ensure a smooth and welcoming transition for all new hires.
  • Workplace Relations: Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries and issues. Promote a positive organizational culture, facilitate conflict resolution, and ensure consistent enforcement of company policies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Regularly update the employee handbook to ensure all HR policies are current and effectively communicated.
  • Benefits Management: Supervise the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other organizational benefits. Liaise with vendors and assist employees with benefits-related questions.
  • Performance Evaluation: Support the development and execution of performance appraisal processes. Provide guidance to management on goal setting, feedback provision, and performance assessments.
  • Training & Development: Identify staff training needs and coordinate professional development initiatives. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and career advancement within the organization.
  • HR Metrics & Analytics: Monitor and analyze HR metrics to guide strategic decision-making. Prepare comprehensive reports for management on HR-related issues, including turnover rates and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, ideally within a legal or professional services context.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Capacity to manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
  • Proficiency in HR management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are advantageous.
