Geospatial Analyst for Land Management

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Geospatial Analyst to assist in the production of maps and spatial analyses for our Oil & Gas portfolio, leveraging extensive expertise in ArcGIS 10.8.x and ArcPro 3.x.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop user-friendly interactive web applications within Experience Builder, ArcGIS Enterprise, Server, and Portal environments.
  • Accurately digitize complex land descriptions using ArcGIS software in an SDE environment, integrating with Land Management data.
  • Execute queries within the land management system to assess daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate effectively across various oil and gas departments to analyze and deliver projects with minimal oversight.
Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Geography, Geographic Information Science, or Computer Science.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mapping spatial data from land survey descriptions, including metes and bounds.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing data within SDE databases.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas sector.
  • At least 5 years of GIS experience utilizing ESRI software, with a preference for ArcGIS and ArcPro.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental GIS concepts, including coordinate systems, transformations, and projections.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret customer requests in non-technical language to identify optimal solutions.

Database Management:
Utilize your knowledge of Oracle Databases or Microsoft SQL for spatial data storage and for constructing queries to update or retrieve data as needed.

  • A combination of the above experiences may be considered.
Preferred Skills/Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of ESRI products such as Portal, ArcGIS Server, SDE, and GeoEvent Server.
  • Familiarity with Quorum Land, MyQuorum, and QuorumGIS.
  • Experience managing an enterprise GIS within Azure or AWS cloud environments.
  • Ability to utilize Model Builder in GIS for process automation, data maintenance, and geoprocessing.
  • Develop solutions using ESRI JavaScript API, Experience Builder, Python API, and Arcade.
  • Experience with Alteryx.
