This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data governance strategy, leading data governance, analytics, and vendor relationships, and ensuring the collective business objectives are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a data governance strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives
  • Lead data governance, analytics, and vendor relationships to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Interface with executives and represent their interests to the broader organization
  • Ensure meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses is provided addressing impactful business issues or questions
  • Recruit, retain, and enable team members to do their best and most meaningful work with a supportive and team-driven approach
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, data analytics, software engineering, information technology, or related field
  • 10 years of related experience, including prior management experience or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position
  • One or more of the following skills: Business Intelligence; Data Analysis; Microsoft Azure; Data Governance; AI Governance; SQL (Programming Language); Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS)
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Data Modeling; Data Governance; AI Governance; Python (Programming Language); Quality Assurance; SQL (Programming Language)
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Analytical Techniques; Business Analysis; Quantitative Analysis; Risk Analysis; Root Cause Analysis; Statistical Process Controls

Requirements
  • Establish the right business capabilities model and architecture, with relational hierarchies, transformation roadmaps and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Leads the product portfolio and life cycle rationalization and consolidation initiatives
  • Establishes the detailed RACI matrix for all critical data interfaces, clearly defining the swim lanes and handover processes with measurable deliverables
  • Ensuring there is proper alignment and clearly established single point of contacts and governance teams
Working Environment

This role will be based in Maryland-Silver Spring and will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to prioritize data governance needs and identify opportunities for integration.
