Position Objective:

The Senior Universal Banker - Floater plays a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive suite of services to clients. This includes executing customer transactions, managing account openings and closures, addressing inquiries, and supporting branch operations. The role focuses on understanding customer needs and effectively communicating product offerings to enhance sales opportunities. Additionally, the Senior Universal Banker - Floater oversees Teller activities, ensuring efficient workflow, addressing queries, and resolving issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide assistance across all facets of branch operations as required.

+ Process transactions and new account setups with accuracy and professionalism.

+ Continuously seek improvements in processes to enhance customer satisfaction and relay suggestions to management.

+ Evaluate and fulfill retail banking needs while managing customer information and cash handling.

+ Open and manage accounts, identifying opportunities for cross-selling to both new and existing clients.

+ Engage with potential and current customers to promote the bank's services and products, aiming to strengthen relationships and enhance profitability.

+ Exhibit outstanding customer service and sales abilities while maintaining a professional demeanor.

+ Ensure precision and compliance in all account-related documentation.

+ Mitigate risks associated with losses, including cash discrepancies and other controllable factors.

+ Stay informed about all relevant Federal and State regulations, as well as the bank's policies and procedures.

+ Accurately process teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and check cashing.

+ Validate coin and currency amounts for incoming and outgoing cash shipments.

+ Make informed decisions regarding customer service and risk management, knowing when to escalate issues to management.

+ Strive for efficiency in task completion without compromising exceptional customer service.

+ Maintain awareness of competitor offerings, services, and promotions.

+ Ensure compliance with dual control protocols.

+ Complete monthly branch certifications, summarizing audits, teller discrepancies, and operational duties accurately and promptly.

+ Manage supply levels and utilize appropriate requisition forms for ordering.

+ Ensure Tellers balance their drawers daily in accordance with bank policy.

+ Adhere strictly to all bank policies regarding cash handling and balancing.

+ Foster open communication with management.

+ Comply with the guidelines outlined in the BYB Branch Survival Guide.

+ Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED is required.

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a banking setting.

+ At least 1 year of experience as a teller, personal banker, or universal banker is advantageous.

+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.

+ Team-oriented with a strong willingness to learn, demonstrating leadership, independent judgment, and creativity in a fast-paced environment.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

+ Familiarity with banking regulatory standards.

+ Knowledgeable about a broad range of retail banking products and administrative functions.

+ Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.

+ Capability to lift up to 30 pounds.

+ Reliable transportation is necessary due to travel requirements.

+ Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

The position typically involves an office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, along with occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Regular use of hand-eye coordination is required for operating office equipment. Effective oral and auditory communication skills are essential for interpersonal interactions and communication through automated systems.
