Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Provides assistance across all facets of branch operations where support is necessary.

+ Processes transactions and new account setups with precision and professionalism.

+ Continuously seeks enhancements to processes that elevate the customer experience and shares these insights with Branch Management.

+ Evaluates and addresses retail banking needs, managing customer and account information, including cash handling.

+ Opens and manages accounts while identifying opportunities for cross-selling to both new and existing clients.

+ Engages with potential and current customers to foster new business by promoting the bank's services and products, aiming to strengthen relationships and enhance profitability.

+ Exhibits outstanding customer service and sales capabilities while maintaining a professional demeanor.

+ Ensures accuracy and compliance in all account-related documentation.

+ Minimizes potential losses, including cash discrepancies and other controllable risks.

+ Keeps abreast of all Federal and State regulations, along with the bank's policies and procedures.

+ Accurately processes teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and check cashing.

+ Validates the accuracy of coin and currency amounts associated with cash shipments.

+ Makes informed decisions regarding customer service and risk management, effectively balancing both aspects. Knows when to escalate issues to management for resolution.

+ Continuously looks for efficient, cost-effective, and productive ways to complete tasks without compromising excellent customer service.

+ Maintains current knowledge of competitor offerings, services, and promotions.

+ Ensures proper coverage for adherence to dual control protocols.

+ Completes monthly branch certifications, summarizing audits, teller discrepancies, and operational duties accurately and promptly.

+ Maintains adequate supply levels and utilizes appropriate order forms for requisitioning supplies.

+ Ensures Tellers balance their drawers daily in accordance with bank policy.

+ Adheres strictly to all bank policies related to cash handling and balancing.

+ Establishes clear and ongoing communication with management.

+ Ensures compliance with the guidelines outlined in the BYB Branch Survival Guide.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a banking environment.

+ At least 1 year of experience as a teller, personal banker, or universal banker is advantageous.

+ Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

+ A collaborative team player with a strong desire to learn, demonstrate leadership skills, and exercise independent judgment and creativity in a fast-paced environment.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications preferred.

+ Familiarity with banking regulatory requirements.

+ Knowledgeable about a diverse range of retail banking products and administrative support.

+ Strong time management skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to communicate professionally, accurately, and clearly with both internal and external stakeholders.

+ Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.

+ Reliable transportation is essential as travel to multiple branches is required.

+ Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Typical office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, along with occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of hand-eye coordination is necessary for operating office equipment. Effective oral and auditory communication skills are essential for interpersonal interactions and communication through automated devices.

The hourly salary range for this position is $24.04 to $30.10, based on various factors including education, work experience, and certifications.
