Job Summary:

The Assembly Technician reports to a supervisor and is responsible for assembling components in accordance with product specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepares for assembly by reviewing instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; gathering necessary parts, tools, and materials.

- Positions components and subassemblies using templates or by taking measurements.

- Assembles parts by checking connections for proper fit and securing components.

- Troubleshoots assembly issues by adjusting dimensions as needed and consulting with the supervisor for additional resources.

- Maintains equipment by performing routine preventive maintenance.

- Manages inventory by monitoring stock levels, anticipating supply needs, and placing orders as necessary.

- Communicates daily with the supervisor regarding potential challenges.

- Ensures a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established procedures and regulations.

- Follows safety protocols to protect personnel and company assets.

- Contributes to team objectives by achieving quality and timely results.

- Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisors and management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities upon hiring, but there may be opportunities for future direct reports.

Physical Requirements:


The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While executing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to count and document findings.

This role is highly active and involves standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crouching, carrying items, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.

The team member may need to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment:

- Frequent interruptions may occur to address personnel and management needs.

Position Type/Expected Hours:


This is a full-time role, with an expected work schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight shifts may also be required.


Travel:

No travel is anticipated for this position.

Required Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or GED.

- Ability to ensure products meet quality and productivity standards.

- Proficient in using hand tools.

- Attention to detail to guarantee the production of high-quality products.

- Capability to read and adhere to documented procedures and standards.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet delivery requirements.

- Willingness to work overtime to achieve goals.

- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
