Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Analyst to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. As a Procurement Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, supporting the University's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service, utilizing written and verbal communication skills to address routine questions and issues.
- Manage a group mailbox, reviewing incoming order documents, cross-checking with order queues, and soliciting missing items as needed.
- Process orders, bids, and quotes, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures.
- Conduct spend analysis, contract administration, and support for UT Market.
- Track savings on purchases and report at the local and campus-wide level.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
- Minimum one year of experience using Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Professional purchasing certification, such as CTCD, CTCM, CPSM, CPM, CPPB, or CPPO.
- Experience in indirect procurement, industrial or educational, at the Buyer I level or comparable outside experience.
- CTCD or CTCM certification, UT/Higher education experience.
- Standard office working conditions may be required to climb stairs and use computers for extended periods.
$48,000 + depending on qualifications.
