Essential Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.
  • A minimum of three years of pertinent experience in teaching, facilitating, or leading workshops aimed at adolescents and young adults.

  • Exceptional organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail. Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills are essential. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, plan, and implement complex projects, collaborate efficiently, adapt plans as necessary, and take initiative while working independently.
  • A genuine passion for connecting with, motivating, and supporting young individuals on themes of leadership and social transformation.
  • Proficiency in standard workplace technology platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft applications (and their Google equivalents, if applicable): Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Forms, and Teams. Must demonstrate a quick aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • The flexibility to adapt to new programming during initial development stages and enthusiasm for contributing as a thought partner in innovative initiatives.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
  • Advanced studies or professional experience in youth engagement, civic involvement, social justice, work with historically marginalized groups, and equity and opportunity is preferred.
  • Experience in curriculum design is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with online educational platforms, including but not limited to Google Classroom, is preferred.
  • Experience with basic design tools (e.g., Canva) is preferred.
Position Overview:

This role involves the development and enhancement of the Youth Leadership Program curriculum in collaboration with program staff. Responsibilities include facilitating program sessions, which typically occur multiple times per week, each involving a group of mentees and mentors. The coordinator will work closely with other facilitators and program administrators to ensure effective content delivery and high engagement levels among participants. Regular debriefs with staff will be conducted to assess and modify future sessions as needed. The coordinator will also assist in the creation and dissemination of online materials for mentors and mentees, design evaluation surveys to gather feedback, and maintain strong communication with staff across various departments and partner organizations.

Working Conditions:
  • This position is primarily based in a climate-controlled office environment, with some activities potentially occurring outdoors.
  • Evening work hours may be required to support program sessions.
  • Frequent movement between different locations may be necessary to provide support to the community.
