Position Summary:
This role involves leading a dedicated team to strategize, coordinate, and implement quality assurance activities pertinent to the production and distribution of products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Nestlé's operational guidelines. The Quality Supervisor plays a crucial role in safeguarding the brand's reputation by preventing the release of non-compliant products and enhancing factory processes to optimize quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Oversight: Alert relevant production staff and management regarding significant product deviations and any items that require blocking.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and guide the team towards achieving their goals. Facilitate the development of quality professionals and promote a culture of quality awareness throughout the unit.
  • Quality Systems Management: Establish and revise quality procedures, instructions, and tools specific to the business unit. Collaborate with the Factory Quality Manager to set operational objectives and monitor quality KPIs.
  • Quality Excellence: Support the Nestlé Continuous Excellence initiative aimed at achieving zero defects. Ensure compliance with the Nestlé Quality Management System and assist in validation activities.
  • Audit and Compliance: Prepare the unit for internal and external audits. Address non-conformities through troubleshooting and corrective actions, and liaise with regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Project Support: Act as the Quality liaison during product industrialization and launch phases.
  • Product Release Coordination: Serve as the positive release coordinator for products within the business unit.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Direct supervision of a small team (1-5 individuals).
  • Indirect oversight of Operations and Maintenance teams.
Key Relationships:
Collaborate with department heads within the factory and functional quality contacts across various markets and regional hubs.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in microbiology, chemistry, or food science. Candidates should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant quality experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with a strong preference for food or pharmaceutical sectors. Leadership experience of 1-3 years is highly desirable, along with familiarity with the audit process.
