Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership:
    Oversee daily operations within the designated department, providing mentorship and training to the hourly workforce to meet production, inventory management, supply chain, and quality objectives.
  2. Achieve productivity goals by ensuring accurate order fulfillment, timely material supply to production, and efficient case handling.
  3. Organize work schedules for line operators and palletizers, assisting team members in prioritizing tasks and ensuring adequate staffing levels for current and upcoming shifts.
  4. Enhance the performance of a top-tier Supply Chain team through effective training and coaching initiatives, while proactively managing staffing needs for each shift.
  5. Deliver exceptional service to customers by surpassing shipping and packaging expectations within established timelines, while effectively communicating any potential issues to relevant internal parties.
  6. Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to safe work practices and fostering a secure work environment.

Quality Assurance:

  1. Instill a quality-focused mindset among team members, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and First Expired, First Out (FEFO) guidelines for all materials.
  2. Maintain high product quality standards by adhering to Nestle's quality regulations and successfully leading the site through various compliance audits.

Continuous Improvement:

  1. Encourage a culture centered on problem-solving, goal alignment, and leadership development to achieve sustainable results in safety, quality, processes, and cost management.
  2. Identify and pursue opportunities for ongoing enhancements in warehouse operations, fostering open communication across shifts and departments.
  3. Evaluate team performance to ensure alignment with departmental objectives.

Safety, Health, and Environmental:

  1. Ensure that safe work instructions are accessible for all roles.
  2. Adhere to all sanitation, GMP, safety, quality, and employee relations protocols.
  3. Confirm that all employees receive necessary safety training and that equipment is maintained with appropriate safety measures in place.
  4. Communicate and manage activities with environmental implications in accordance with established management systems.

Additional Duties:
Participate in Continuous Excellence and Total Performance Management initiatives as part of job responsibilities. Maintain technical proficiency in relevant systems that support plant operations and collaborate with various external personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of leadership experience in a supply chain environment.

Experience:

  • 1+ years in a warehouse, manufacturing, transportation, or military setting.
  • 2+ years in supervisory roles preferred.
  • Experience in food processing, aseptic, or pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain and Inventory Control is preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to mentor and lead diverse teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Comprehension and enforcement of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication with personnel at all levels.
  • Proficient in scheduling resources efficiently.
  • Capability to develop standardized work processes.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts as required.
