Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will oversee a dedicated team responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing quality assurance activities related to production and product release. This role ensures compliance with industry regulations and Nestle standards while optimizing costs. The Quality Supervisor plays a crucial role in safeguarding the brand's reputation by preventing issues related to non-conforming products and enhancing factory processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Oversight: Monitor and report significant deviations in production to relevant personnel.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and guide the team towards achieving quality objectives. Foster the development of quality professionals and promote a culture of quality awareness throughout the unit.
- Quality Management System: Establish and update quality procedures and tools. Collaborate with the Factory Quality Manager to set operational goals and track quality KPIs.
- Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives aimed at achieving zero defects and compliance with Nestle's Quality Management System. Assist in validation activities and act as a liaison for hygiene and safety processes.
- Audit Preparation: Ensure readiness for internal and external audits. Address non-conformities through troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Project Support: Act as a quality liaison during product development and launch phases.
- Product Release Coordination: Manage the positive release process for products within the business unit.
- Direct supervision of a small team (1-5 individuals).
- Indirect oversight of Operations and Maintenance teams.
Collaborate with department heads and functional quality contacts within the factory and across regional hubs. Engage with suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in microbiology, chemistry, or food science. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant quality experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with leadership experience highly preferred.
