Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Executive Director - RN to lead our hospice team. This role offers an opportunity to leverage your leadership skills while making a profound difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a commitment to quality care and service excellence.
  • Integrate continuous quality improvement practices into daily operations.
  • Monitor compliance with standards set by regulatory and accrediting bodies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Effectively manage human resources.
  • Facilitate positive communication and keep staff informed of changes.
  • Oversee orientation and training for employees and volunteers.
  • Supervise and evaluate interdisciplinary team members.
  • Guide teams towards achieving performance goals and standards.
  • Assign tasks based on employee strengths and ensure equitable workload distribution.
  • Manage office operations efficiently.
  • Organize resources to meet strategic objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services.
  • Supervise the quality of patient care at assigned locations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to address concerns.
  • Evaluate family satisfaction surveys in partnership with the Administrator.
  • Manage financial resources responsibly.
  • Conduct financial reviews with the Administrator.
  • Maintain annual expenditures within budgetary limits.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Registered Nurse with at least an Associate's Degree in Nursing; a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; a Master's Degree in business, nursing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in a management or supervisory role; two or more years in hospice or home care; three years in direct patient care is preferred; experience in healthcare sales or management is advantageous.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Current nursing license in the state of employment; CPR Certification; valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Skills: Proficient in operating computers and office equipment; must have reliable transportation for work-related duties.
