Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will oversee a dedicated team responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing quality assurance activities in alignment with regulatory requirements and Nestle standards. This role is crucial in safeguarding the brand's reputation by preventing non-compliance and ensuring product integrity. The Supervisor will focus on minimizing rejections, enhancing factory processes, and positively influencing quality-related costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Oversight: Alert relevant production staff and management about significant deviations and blocked products.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and guide the team to achieve their goals while fostering the development of quality professionals. Promote a culture of quality awareness throughout the unit.
- Quality Systems Management: Develop and refine specific quality procedures, instructions, and tools. Collaborate with the Factory Quality Manager to establish operational objectives and monitor quality KPIs.
- Continuous Improvement: Support the Nestle Continuous Excellence program aimed at achieving zero defects. Ensure compliance with the Nestle Quality Management System and assist in validation activities.
- Audit Preparation: Facilitate readiness for internal and external audits. Address non-conformities through troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Project Support: Act as the Quality liaison during the industrialization and launch phases of new projects.
- Product Release Coordination: Serve as the positive release coordinator for products within the business unit.
- Direct supervision of a small team (1-5 individuals).
- Indirect oversight of Operations and Maintenance teams.
Internal collaboration with department heads and functional quality contacts, as well as external partnerships with suppliers and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in microbiology, chemistry, or food science. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant quality experience in a manufacturing environment, with leadership experience being highly preferred. A background in food or pharmaceutical industries is advantageous.
