The Emergency Department at Corewell Health is recognized as a certified Primary Stroke Center and a Level IV Trauma Center. Our facility is equipped with over 20 treatment spaces designed to handle a wide range of medical and traumatic emergencies. Our interdisciplinary team works collaboratively to provide compassionate, relationship-based care for our patients and their families. Role Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide accountable and responsible nursing care as outlined by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and in accordance with Michigan state regulations. You will demonstrate your expertise through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will uphold the professional performance standards set by the ANA, which encompass ethical practice, culturally competent care, effective communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality assurance, resource management, and environmental health. Your goal will be to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required within five years of hire.
  • Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required within 90 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within six months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA is required within 180 days of hire.
  • Completion of the Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) from ENA is required within one year of hire.
  • Completion of the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) from ENA is required within one year of hire.

Employment Details

This position is full-time with variable shifts, requiring 36 hours of work per week, typically consisting of three 12-hour shifts. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.
