Job Overview

Compensation:

$18+ hourly based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support subcontractors, tradespeople, and skilled workers such as roofers, plasterers, carpenters, painters, and electricians as required.
  • Follow all directives from the construction manager and collaborate with team members to ensure accurate completion of construction projects.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery, including survey equipment, jackhammers, and forklifts as necessary.
  • Transport, load, and unload tools and construction materials like sheetrock, saws, lumber, tile, and grout.
  • Maintain safety standards and OSHA regulations by clearing debris and hazardous materials to keep the worksite secure and organized.
  • Adhere to all instructions from the construction manager and work alongside team members to finalize construction tasks.
  • Regularly lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as required.
  • Safely handle and dispose of debris and hazardous materials to comply with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Assist tradespeople, subcontractors, and skilled workers such as painters, roofers, plasterers, carpenters, and electricians as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in challenging weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and rain.
  • Prior experience in construction, knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and equipment, as well as an understanding of blueprints and construction plans is necessary.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree, trade certification, or completion of an apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in construction framing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, tools, and equipment is essential.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and construction plans is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude, along with excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception, is necessary.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be capable of fulfilling all physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
