Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our team at JO Restaurant Group. As a key member of our restaurant management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the front of house operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining a high level of quality in all aspects of the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
  • Cash Handling: Assist in cash control and other receipts for the shift by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Dining Area Cleaning: Supervise and participate in dining area cleaning activities to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests.
  • Complaint Resolution: Investigate complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations and report to management.
  • Team Support: Observe workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service, and provide assistance to the management team for completion of disciplinary write-ups.
  • Restaurant Policies: Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and ensure compliance.
  • Food Preparation: Perform some food preparation or service tasks such as packaging items, clearing tables, and serving food and drinks when necessary.
  • Employee Meetings: Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operations of the restaurant.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with a minimum of 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Outgoing, pleasant personality, and a desire to please guests. Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for at least 8 hours. Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Technology: Proficient in cash register, tablets, and computer systems, as well as point-of-sale software, terminals, and workstations.
