Job Summary

The Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the College Foundation's advancement efforts. This is a key leadership position that will oversee all aspects of the College Foundation's operations, including fundraising, finance, and recordkeeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual and ongoing fundraising plans and budgets based on the priorities of WPCC and the College Foundation.
  • Identify and cultivate private and public donors, prospects, and other potential funding sources to build and maintain profitable, long-term fundraising relationships.
  • Manage the College Foundation's budget, supervise Institutional Advancement employees, and coordinate activities, meetings, and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain a master file of donors with pertinent data, including a record of gifts to the College.
  • Work with the College CFO and Foundation & Grants Accountant to ensure accounting accuracy for the Western Piedmont Foundation and all external grants to WPCC.
  • Supervise the Director of Grants and Special Projects and assist with preparing grants, project proposals, and progress reports.
  • Work with the College's Marketing Department to feature programs and activities of the Foundation through proactive marketing and public relations initiatives.
  • Formulate and update Foundation-related policies and procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in education, business administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of prior experience involving public contact, non-profit involvement, and/or fundraising.
  • Government and non-profit budgeting and accounting procedures with demonstrated ability to prepare clear and concise administrative and financial reports.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Foundation By-laws and federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of grant development and management.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Notary public.
  • Ability to use accounting software and constituent management software.
  • A thorough knowledge of the WPCC service area, its history, and people.
Salary Range

$4,912 - $5,321 monthly
