About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Care Specialist to join our team at Positive Development for Youth & Families. As a Developmental Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one care and support to children and young adults with autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide play-based care and support to clients in their homes, using our developmental approach to care.
  • Work closely with our Clinical team to develop and implement personalized care plans for each client.
  • Communicate effectively with clients' families to ensure a collaborative and supportive care environment.
  • Attend regular clinical lectures and team meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Ability to commit to working for Positive Development for at least 12 months.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license or state ID.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, regularly get up and down from the floor, and actively play with children.
