Overview:
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of both staff and clients within the facility.

They will be tasked with maintaining a secure front desk environment and ensuring adherence to established house rules and operational protocols.


Key Responsibilities:
The Residential Support Specialist will be accountable for, but not limited to:

1. Vigilantly monitor clients, living spaces, and surrounding areas to guarantee the safety and security of all residents.
2. Uphold shelter regulations and comply with organizational policies and procedures.
3. Execute general administrative duties, including logging communications, documenting resident activities, behaviors, and interactions.
4. Provide assistance to clients by addressing inquiries and resolving issues as they arise.
5. Inspect all items entering the facility to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
6. Oversee video surveillance of hallways, staircases, lounges, and other communal areas.
7. Follow safety, health, and fire hazard protocols; adhere to organizational policies and values.
8. Conduct regular rounds throughout the facility on an hourly basis.
9. Report any immediate safety concerns to the appropriate supervisory or maintenance personnel.
10. Collaborate with security staff to ensure the safety of both employees and residents within the program.
11. Prepare and clean units for new occupants, including organizing client belongings as necessary.
12. Document all incidents, including details, participants, actions taken, and outcomes.
13. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2. F-02 Certificate of Fitness, CPR/Basic First Aid certification.
3. Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries while working with residents.
4. General familiarity with residential facility operations is preferred.
5. Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and standards.
6. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
8. Commitment to high standards of excellence.
9. Sound judgment with the capacity to make timely and effective decisions.
10. Ability to assess emergency situations and respond appropriately.
