Job Overview

We are looking for dedicated Residential Support Specialists to join our team at various locations.

The Residential Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents. Responsibilities include:

  1. Continuously monitoring residents and the facility to maintain a secure environment.
  2. Implementing shelter regulations and adhering to organizational policies.
  3. Carrying out administrative tasks such as maintaining communication logs and documenting resident activities.
  4. Assisting residents with inquiries and resolving issues as they arise.
  5. Inspecting all items entering the facility to uphold safety standards.
  6. Reviewing surveillance footage of common areas to ensure safety.
  7. Following health, safety, and fire hazard protocols in line with the organization's mission.
  8. Conducting regular rounds throughout the facility.
  9. Reporting any safety concerns to supervisory or maintenance staff.
  10. Collaborating with security personnel to ensure a safe environment for all.
  11. Preparing units for new residents by cleaning and organizing as necessary.
  12. Documenting incidents thoroughly, including details and outcomes.
  13. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • F-02 Certificate of Fitness, C.P.R./Basic First Aid certification.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries with residents.
  • Preferred experience in a residential care setting.
  • Understanding of H.I.P.P.A. regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Commitment to high standards of service.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Capability to assess emergencies and respond appropriately.
