CAMBA's Operations: We manage six single adult shelters, six family shelters, and a drop-in center, each designed to provide clients with a supportive, structured, therapeutic, safe, and drug-free environment. Our facilities cater to homeless individuals, many of whom face mental health and substance use challenges, offering comprehensive services aimed at stabilizing their conditions and facilitating successful transitions to permanent or supported housing.

Position Overview: Residential Support Specialist

Reporting To: Assistant Program Manager

Key Responsibilities:
The individual in this role will be responsible for:
  1. Assisting clients in developing essential daily living skills through individual and group Activities of Daily Living (ADL) sessions, which may include laundry, meal preparation and cleanup, personal hygiene, shopping, and maintaining an activity schedule;
  2. Managing inventory of food and dry goods;
  3. Providing clients with an orientation to the facility, available services, and personal care items upon their arrival.

Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. and/or equivalent experience.
Additional Requirements:
  • Completion of the Department of Health Food Protection 15-hour Course, passing the exam to become a certified Food Handler.
  • Annual PPD Test certification.
  • Potential requirement for First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Possible certification in overdose prevention.
  • Bi-lingual candidates are preferred.
Compensation: $16 per hour

Employment Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
