Grateful Heart Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Technician to join our team of veterinary professionals.

As an integral part of our state-of-the-art facility, you will work closely with the veterinary team to ensure smooth daily operations and provide exceptional care for our patients. Your primary responsibilities will involve maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards across all areas of the hospital through regular disinfection and cleaning procedures.
  • Manage laundry operations, ensuring a constant supply of clean linens and towels for patient care and staff use.
  • Proactively monitor all rooms to guarantee optimal hygiene and address any potential issues promptly.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of essential supplies in treatment and examination rooms.
  • Contribute to surgical readiness by washing, wrapping, and sterilizing surgical equipment and maintaining the surgical suite's cleanliness.
  • Safely escort hospitalized animals outside for bathroom breaks, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect kennels and dog runs as needed to maintain a hygienic environment for our patients.
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks according to established protocols.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist the veterinary team with various other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential for this role.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for animal care are highly valued.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is required.
  • Proactive individuals who demonstrate initiative and seek opportunities to contribute are ideal candidates.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for maintaining our high standards of cleanliness.
  • Comfort working with animal waste, including blood, feces, urine, and vomit is necessary.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt effectively to changing priorities.
