Grateful Heart Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Technician to join our team of veterinary professionals.
As an integral part of our state-of-the-art facility, you will work closely with the veterinary team to ensure smooth daily operations and provide exceptional care for our patients. Your primary responsibilities will involve maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards across all areas of the hospital through regular disinfection and cleaning procedures.
- Manage laundry operations, ensuring a constant supply of clean linens and towels for patient care and staff use.
- Proactively monitor all rooms to guarantee optimal hygiene and address any potential issues promptly.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of essential supplies in treatment and examination rooms.
- Contribute to surgical readiness by washing, wrapping, and sterilizing surgical equipment and maintaining the surgical suite's cleanliness.
- Safely escort hospitalized animals outside for bathroom breaks, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect kennels and dog runs as needed to maintain a hygienic environment for our patients.
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks according to established protocols.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist the veterinary team with various other duties as assigned.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential for this role.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for animal care are highly valued.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is required.
- Proactive individuals who demonstrate initiative and seek opportunities to contribute are ideal candidates.
- Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for maintaining our high standards of cleanliness.
- Comfort working with animal waste, including blood, feces, urine, and vomit is necessary.
