Veterinary Neurologist Position

DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is a unique establishment. We invite you to join our AAHA-accredited and VECCS Level 1 emergency and specialty facility as a Neurologist and play a pivotal role in developing a service that is in its early stages. Our state-of-the-art specialty building is set to open soon, featuring a 3 Tesla MRI and 64-slice CT, providing ample opportunity to enhance our Neurology service.

As a Neurologist, you will collaborate with our established Neurology team and the veterinary community to build your caseload, working alongside DoveLewis' specialists to formulate diagnostic and surgical strategies for patients with neurological conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing medical management for neurology patients at DoveLewis
  • Conducting consultations and performing diagnostic and surgical interventions
  • Establishing strong professional relationships with our referring veterinarians

  • A well-equipped facility featuring a dedicated ICU, digital radiography, ultrasound, echocardiography, 1.5 Tesla MRI, and 64-slice CT, along with a mechanical ventilator, flexible and rigid endoscopy, on-site blood bank, and capabilities for hemodialysis and plasmapheresis.

What We Seek:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or certification through ECFVG
  • The ability to obtain licensure in the state of Oregon
  • Current ADCVIM (neurology) board certification or eligibility
  • A commitment to and enthusiasm for a client-centered practice.
  • (Willingness to engage with the rDVM network, educate, cultivate, and support practice expansion)

Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered as a substitute for the above qualifications.
