As a Surgical Technician, your primary responsibilities will include the coordination, management, and organization of surgical preparations, as well as assisting surgeons throughout various surgical procedures and in post-operative care, ensuring adherence to the surgeon's directives.

Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $28 to $36, based on education, experience, and certifications. Additional compensation is available for Veterinary Technician Specialists (VTS), along with overnight and weekend differential pay for applicable shifts.
Work Schedule: Surgical Technicians operate on a 5/2 rotating schedule with 10-hour shifts, including rotating weekends. This structure allows for a consistent schedule, making personal planning straightforward, and provides 5 consecutive days off every other week.
Current Shift Availability: Day shift from 9 AM to 7 PM.
Candidate Profile:

- A dedication to delivering the highest standard of care to both patients and clients in a client-centered environment.
- The capability to manage stressful situations in a fast-paced setting with compassion, efficiency, and adaptability.
- A minimum of three years of experience in critical care or emergency small animal care is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in anesthesia and analgesia is preferred.
- Current certification as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon OR a Licensed Veterinary Technician OR a Registered Veterinary Technician from another state with the ability to transfer licensure to Oregon.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Any suitable combination of experience or education may be considered as a substitute for the above qualifications.
