About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Communications to join our team at Farm Credit Bank of Texas. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our bank's objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies that drive business results and enhance our brand reputation.
  • Lead and manage a small communications team, providing guidance and direction to ensure effective delivery of communications.
  • Represent the bank to customer and public audiences, periodically reporting to executive management and/or the board of directors.
  • Enhance our brand and reputation through strategic communication efforts and evaluate and refine brand guidelines for continual improvement.
  • Plan and execute B2B marketing campaigns/activities to drive confidence as a trusted partner in the financial industry.
  • Coordinate with internal partners to drive consistent and effective messaging to ensure employees and customers are informed and engaged on bank initiatives.
  • Support executive leadership with speechwriting, presentations, and other communication needs, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field; or equivalent related experience.
  • 5-10 years' experience in a communications role, with a minimum of 5 years in team management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work onsite in bank's Austin office on a regular basis.
  • Experience in the banking or related financial services industry or a strong finance or investor relations background.
