Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an Environmental Geologist to enhance our expanding environmental services. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and project managers to provide comprehensive observation, testing, data analysis, and documentation for various geotechnical and environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, surface water, and air using calibrated instruments.
  • Document and log soil and rock samples during drilling operations.
  • Oversee construction activities related to monitoring and supply wells to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
  • Prepare daily field reports and summaries detailing work performed.
  • Execute Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and generate subsequent reports.
  • Analyze and manage extensive laboratory data.
  • Design and manage well networks across various geological settings.
  • Assist other practice areas within ARM Group with data collection and processing tasks.
  • Develop cost estimates and proposal documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project deliverables and enhance professional knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers and engineers.
  • Identify and address non-routine conditions and problems, proposing solutions and seeking guidance when necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 0-10+ years of experience in a related discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to perform independent fieldwork and reporting.
  • OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER, MSHA Surface Mining, and/or Safeland training preferred.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Travel to job sites may be required, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • G.I.T/E.I.T or P.G./P.E. certification, or the potential to obtain such certifications while employed at ARM Group.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds regularly.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various climates and conditions.
  • Capability to walk and stand for extended periods, often on uneven surfaces, with frequent bending and stooping.
