Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hazardous Materials Response Specialist to join our team at NWFF Environmental. As a key member of our Technical Services group, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support in environmental response and remediation efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental cleanup operations in and out of energized power substations
  • Respond to oil spills and other hazardous material incidents
  • Work in and around water, including commercial vehicle operations
  • Operate equipment such as hand tools, forklifts, and heavy equipment
  • Deploy, retain, and process absorbent materials
Requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record for the past three years
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and DOT physical
  • Be medically qualified to wear a respirator
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work safely
  • Available to work any day of the week and weekends, including after-hours emergency responses
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to wear a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and work in a level B suit with SCBA for up to three hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate (training available)
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
