ARM Group LLC is in search of an Environmental Geologist to enhance our expanding environmental division. The ideal candidate will work alongside a diverse team of engineers, scientists, project managers, and support staff to deliver a comprehensive suite of services including observation, testing, data analysis, documentation, technical report writing, and cost estimation for various geotechnical and environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, surface water, and air using calibrated instruments.
- Provide detailed logging and description of soil and rock samples during drilling operations.
- Document construction activities related to monitoring and supply wells to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
- Prepare daily field reports and summaries detailing ongoing work.
- Execute Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and compile associated reports.
- Analyze and manage extensive laboratory data.
- Design and oversee well networks across various geological environments.
- Assist other divisions within ARM Group with data collection and processing tasks as required.
- Prepare cost estimates and proposal documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deliverables and enhance knowledge and experience.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders including project managers and engineers.
- Identify and address non-routine conditions and problems, developing solutions and seeking guidance when necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 0-10+ years of experience in a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Team-oriented with the capability to conduct independent fieldwork and reporting.
- OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER, MSHA Surface Mining, and/or Safeland training preferred.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Travel to job sites may be required, including occasional overnight stays.
- Valid driver's license in good standing is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Possession of G.I.T/E.I.T or P.G./P.E. certification, or the opportunity to obtain such certifications while employed at ARM Group.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds regularly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various climates and conditions.
- Capability to walk and stand for extended periods, often on uneven surfaces, with frequent bending and stooping.
