SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst is essential in facilitating the financial planning, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives of the organization. This role is pivotal in driving innovation within the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, focusing on enhancing financial models, reports, and presentations.

This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and senior management to address budgeting and forecasting issues.

Additionally, this role acts as the administrator for the corporate performance management system, Oracle EPM, utilizing it to refine processes and improve deliverables.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning & Forecasting:
Supports the organization’s financial planning, forecasting, and long-term strategic initiatives. Aids in the development of related presentations and documentation.

Regularly updates forecasting models by incorporating key performance indicators, trend analysis, economic variables, and strategic insights from the Executive Leadership Team.

Monitors the reliability and accuracy of forecasting models, ensuring they align with business objectives and appropriately address known risks and opportunities.

Assists in the monthly financial close process by analyzing significant variances from forecasts and prior periods, providing insightful commentary on financial statements.

Evaluates risks and opportunities in forecasts based on actual performance.


System Administration:

Acts as the system administrator for the corporate performance management system, Oracle EPM, ensuring the integrity of all financial master data.

Facilitates the creation of new reports and dashboards within the system.

Continuously seeks opportunities to optimize the system for improved processes and enhanced deliverables.


Management Reporting:

Assists in the preparation, analysis, and dissemination of management reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and internal/external presentations, including those for the Board of Directors and quarterly earnings.

Supports ad-hoc analytical requests as necessary.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborates with various teams to streamline processes, establish targets, develop strategic plans, identify risks and opportunities, conduct analyses, and evaluate outcomes.

Facilitates the flow of information among the Executive Leadership Team, FP&A teams, accounting departments, and other key stakeholders.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred Education:
Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in Accounting and/or Finance, with experience in managing corporate performance management systems (e.g., Oracle EPM)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience with corporate performance management systems (e.g., Oracle EPM)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy
Self-motivated and adaptable in a dynamic environment
Strong customer service orientation when engaging with business partners
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capable of leading discussions and facilitating meetings across all organizational levels
