Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure alignment of financial activities with the mission and values of Catholic Charities.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with funding partners in relation to financial operations.
- Deliver timely operational reports to program directors and senior management, providing insightful analysis of financial and non-financial metrics.
- Conduct revenue and expense forecasting as required.
- Advise the Senior Director of Finance on profitability concerns and budget adherence through detailed financial comparisons during monthly reviews.
- Collaborate with finance team members to present financial data to program staff and leadership on a regular basis.
- Monitor budget expenditures to ensure accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
- Prepare supporting documentation for year-end audits, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts with subsidiary ledgers and transactions.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and prepare adjusting journal entries for regular financial closings.
- Develop and uphold subsidiary schedules for all balance sheet accounts.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet organizational objectives.
Working Environment:
- Standard office setting with occasional travel required.
- Frequent engagement in activities such as walking, sitting, and communicating with colleagues and supervisors.
- Regular use of computers and telecommunication devices.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 15 lbs. unassisted as needed.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting, or an Associate's Degree with relevant experience.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Experience in analyzing financial data and familiarity with various funding sources.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel are required.
- Successful candidates will undergo a background check.
