YOUR POSITION

As a Vui's Assistant Manager, you will be a vibrant, reliable, and team-focused leader who possesses a strong work ethic and a genuine enthusiasm for healthy dining. Your role will involve fostering a welcoming environment for guests while ensuring that your team is motivated and well-trained. You will have the opportunity to guide, develop, and inspire your staff, all while achieving set objectives.

A TYPICAL WEEK AT VUI'S

Your week begins with a review of the previous week's performance metrics alongside your General Manager, strategizing on scheduling and coaching your team to meet financial benchmarks. Mornings will be dedicated to preparing the store for lunch service and managing catering orders, with a strong emphasis on food safety and recipe accuracy. Prior to opening, you will gather your team for a pre-shift meeting to share updates and foster camaraderie.

During your afternoons, you will oversee shift transitions while balancing hands-on support on the line and administrative tasks such as staff scheduling and inventory management. You may also conduct interviews for potential new hires or assist in onboarding new team members. Throughout the day, it’s essential to check in with your staff, encouraging their growth and skill development.

As evening approaches, you will guide your team through busy dinner service, ensuring a smooth operation. At the end of your shift, you will prepare for the next day by reviewing catering orders and inventory needs.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete 400 hours of our Certified Management Training program.
  • Act as a Vui's Ambassador, representing our service, menu, and culture.
  • Embrace a hands-on management style by participating in store operations.
  • Passionately describe our menu items and educate guests about ingredients and dietary considerations.
  • Maintain hygiene standards and a professional appearance that reflects our brand positively.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, focusing on their development and motivation.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
  • Uphold Vui's standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
  • Manage operational and administrative tasks efficiently to contribute to store success.
  • Create staff schedules based on projected sales.
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure product freshness.
  • Adhere to Health Department regulations and promote safe work practices.
  • Assist with facility maintenance and upkeep.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Prior management experience is required.
  • Food Manager Certification is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Profit and Loss statements is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and communication abilities.
  • Skilled in attracting, training, and retaining quality employees.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires the ability to walk and stand for extended periods. You will need to perform tasks that involve reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying, with the capability to lift at least 50 pounds safely.

YOUR SCHEDULE

This role requires a flexible schedule, with an expectation of 40-50 hours of work per week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
