ROLE OVERVIEW

The Associate Manager, Sales Account Management is an integral part of the SC Johnson North America Sales team, reporting directly to the Director of Sales Value Channel. This role focuses on enhancing the SCJ business within designated accounts by employing a customer-centric approach and strategic business planning to identify opportunities, strengths, and account objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve sales targets, distribution goals, and pricing strategies for assigned accounts.
  • Implement tactical initiatives: Develop, present, and execute product sales strategies, promotional deals, and merchandising plans at the headquarters level of assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with retail operations to meet sales objectives.
  • Analyze syndicated data to understand category and brand trends, identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Provide strategic insights for account expectations and initiatives to enhance category performance, including promotions and special packaging.
  • Manage account forecasting and promotional planning, utilizing sales tracking systems.
  • Oversee revenue responsibilities amounting to $50 million.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Military experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Technical Skills

  • 2-4 years of successful experience in Account Business Management.
  • Proficient in analyzing business data to uncover opportunities.
  • Prior roles as Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or Customer Insights Manager are advantageous.
  • High proficiency in standard business software applications.

Leadership Skills

  • Exceptional negotiation capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Adaptability to evolving work environments and customer needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time position with 10% travel required.
  • This role is remote, with the expectation of occasional visits to the corporate office as necessary.
  • Relocation is not offered for this position, though future opportunities may require relocation.
